Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell season 1 is a fantasy series depicting some historical events. It is filmed on the basis of the bestseller under the same title. The story takes place in England at the beginning of the 19 century, when Europe was struggling against Napoleon. The last one is a hereditary magician, who does his best to revive public interest to this fantastic way of life. When he proves his individuality of a magician, even English government asks for his service. He managed to resurrect a bride of one well-known official, and it was the beginning of numerous tragic and fantastic events. Later this acknowledged man gets a talented pupil – Mr Strange. Though they have some completely opposite points of view, they have to work together as national interests are at stake. The series Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell will show the unknown history of England intertwined with supernatural world.
